Tomasz Misiak is a graduate of the Wrocław University of Economics, IESE Business School (University of Navarra), and completed the Global Leadership Seminar and Global CEO Program at Georgetown University.

He is the founder of Work Service S.A. (est. 1999) – Poland's first and largest temporary employment agency. Over 20 years of operation, he transformed the company, which started as a student project, into the HR services market leader in Central and Eastern Europe, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

From 1999 to 2007, he served as Vice President of the Management Board, and from 2012 to 2021, he was Vice President of Employers of Poland (Pracodawcy RP), the oldest and largest Polish employers' organization. Since 2014, he has also been a member of the Polish Business Roundtable (Polska Rada Biznesu) – an association of owners and managers of the largest companies.

As an initiator and shareholder, he actively focuses on the development of Mizyak Fund – a family investment fund. He is also a founding investor in the bValue fund.

He began his experience in social and political activities in student organizations and the Wrocław City Council, where he served as Chairman of the Economic Initiatives Committee. From 2005 to 2011, he served as a Senator of the Republic of Poland, acting as Chairman of the Economy Committee and participating in the European Union Committee.

He has sat on the Supervisory Boards of numerous companies, including: Exact Systems, IT Kontrakt, Finance Care, Telakces Com, MM Conferences (listed on NewConnect), Hawe S.A., and IDM S.A. Additionally, he served as President of the World of Ideas Foundation (Fundacja Świat Idei), publisher of the Polish edition of Project Syndicate.

He is the laureate of numerous prestigious business awards, including "Teraz Polska", Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Leader of Entrepreneurship, and Manager of the Year.
